Our implementation process

Simple 7 step approach

1. Establish top management consensus on the business needs
   Your business needs and urgency to elevate the current project management performance will drive the entire implementation. No need means no drive means no success. It all starts with your leadership!
2. Get buy-in on the improvement potential
   Top management must be convinced about the current waste in the system. Only then will they consider changing the rules for executing projects.
3. Get buy-in on the 3 execution rules, set ambitious targets
   Top management demonstrate their leadership by setting unprecedented targets for delivering projects. By doing so the necessity for the 3 execution rules becomes even more apparent.
4. Design the solution
   Only a limited set of solution items must be settled upfront. The role of the pipeline manager, the project manager and the task manager, the structure of the pipeline and its projects and required policy changes. Other subjects will be dealt with later on.
5. Create pipeline and validate it with the targets
   Create the complete pipeline planning and the resource model. Check if the planned outcome meets the targets set. If not revisit the targets or cut the cycle times of the projects in the pipeline.

6. Establish Task Management
   Task management is the main pillar of project execution management. Task management is monitoring remaining durations of all tasks in progress on a daily basis. Task management ensures your project member will execute work in the right priority with focus without all the interruptions they suffer today.
   
7. Establish a process of ongoing improvement
   We will support your company only for a limited time. Typically implementing a pipeline should not take more then 3-4 months. After that work is done we stop. But not without implementing with you a process that helps you to make further improvements yourself. Analysing Buffer Statistics will give clear indication what in your environment the main causes are for delay and what you can do more to reduce the project cycle times even further.
